April 7th

Standard

Stunned altar surmounts all anxiety.
Frisked motors sunless and overexposed
fleet sensations and speech. So I went out
bought smokes bought books and some
things I won’t ever need because well
just because and then sorely stoked
because of v-neck sweaters
remembered why I went out
in the first place and suddenly not
so appreciative. Who needs
to find herself anyway, in this age? The weather
is chilling as eyes fevered red rending
me with their stare to a chattering heap
kind of the same way girls do.
Then came back and fell asleep because well
I was high and when I woke up
thought of you and didn’t want
to get out of bed.
